groggy

Very tired this morning. We went see Kornelia and Paul at Paul's flat in Ealing Broadway last night, which is rather a long way from anywhere. Matt and I met Michal and Mats at West Acton and we proceeded from there to the flat, where Agata was also waiting for us. It was very Polish: chicken cutlets, cheese, pickled cabbage and beetroot, mushrooms, GHERKINS! I loved it. We all babbled away in English and Polish till it as late, and we headed in to Hammersmith and caught the last Piccadilly line train home.

early morning

Just got back from Fiction. I left a little earlier than the others - I wasn't so up for house music this evening. But I did have a marvellous time, and I really enjoyed the journey home. The bus stop at Angel, with the unbelievably infrequent N19 bus and the usual share of sleepy drunk people devouring takeaways, post-clubbing types exclaiming at the dawn colours and giving each other massages and mad people. Back in Arsenal, the birds are singing really loud, I can actually hear them quite well, and I met a cat and our neighbourhood fox on the way home. Now I'm listening to Paul Simon and taking it easy. It's going to be a hot day tomorrow...
