if you’re nominating a scotch egg I think it should really be in the best thing containing a thing catagory

And then tom said:No, cos the cheese (the nominee) is in a sandwich, it’s the thing in a thing, wheras a scotch egg contains an egg, the egg is the thing in a thing. Unless you’re nominating the egg in the scotch egg in which case carry on, or unless you call the egg in a scotch egg a scotch egg aswell in which case how do you differentiate?
And then THE JUDGING COMMITTEE said:Neither of your suggested Best Picture or Best Foreign Language catagories feature the word thing in them. They have therefore been deemed by THE JUDGING COMMITTEE to be too specific, the nomiations in these ‘catagories’ will be added to the best thing catagory and the best foreign thing catagory as the THE JUDGING COMMITTEE deems appropriate. THE JUDGING COMMITTEE is thinking of including them next year as techinical awards though
